Driver Installation Instructions

Close all programs which use the CHIPDRIVE. The driver is supplied in a ZIP file. Unpack this file (for example with the program WinZip, which can be downloaded from www.winzip.com) into a temporary folder. Then run the program setuptwk.exe. The driver is installed automatically and the program then prompts you to restart your computer. Then connect the CHIPDRIVE to your computer:

Depending on the model you have, note the following:

CHIPDRIVE micro 100/CHIPDRIVE micro 110 (devices with COM interface (square 9-pin plug for serial interface) and PS/2 connector (small round plug, generally used for keyboard and mouse)): Both plugs must be connected.

CHIPDRIVE micro 120/CHIPDRIVE extern: This device is equipped with a rechargable battery, which is generally discharged when the device is delivered. The card reader is only charged and ready for use after the computer has been running for at least an hour.

CHIPDRIVE 130/330 (USB connector): If possible, connect the device directly to the first USB port.
